Victor Giulianelli is Chair of the Alliance for Better Health Care’s Board of Managers. He is also President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s Healthcare, Amsterdam, NY, a 301-bed hospital.
Prior to becoming CEO of St. Mary’s Healthcare in 2005, Mr. Giulianelli served as the Vice President of Operations at St. Mary’s from 1993-2004, and was Assistant Administrator of the hospital from 1982 – 1993. Mr. Giulianelli initially started his career at St. Mary’s Hospital in 1980 as an administrator in the Comprehensive Mental Health Center. He has a master’s degree in Public Administration from SUNY Albany.
Mr. Giulianelli is a leader in the community, serving as: an active member, and a past president, of: the Amsterdam Rotary Club; past president and board member of Community Health Center; past president of Community Services Support Corporation; past president and board member of the YMCA; board member of Northeastern NY March of Dimes; board member of the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce; board member of the FMCC Foundation and board member of GAVAC; chairperson of the 2002 United Way campaign; and he is a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.
Among the honors he has received for his civic leadership include: 2000 Rotarian of the Year Award; 2002 YMCA Citizen of the Year Award; 2005 Good Scout Award; and the 2008 Diane G. Snell Humanitarian Award. In 2006, the Montgomery County Chamber’s Volunteer Award was presented to MedRock, a band that performs only for charitable causes and in which Mr. Giulliani serves as lead singer.
